Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Kyo-ya Hotels, our mission includes stewardship of the land. As a family business, we take the long view – working every day to ensure we contribute to a better environment for all.

Moana Surfrider, Waikiki’s first hotel, is home to an iconic banyan tree, planted in 1904. For more than a century, it has sheltered birds, animals, and guests – serving as a majestic reminder of our values and our responsibilities.

For Kyo-ya Hotels, our commitment to sustainability includes responsible sourcing of ingredients and amenities, conserving energy and water, and providing our guests with event and room options that allow them to travel and gather responsibly.
